Clients book a facial or course of facials for a number of reasons.They may have skin concerns they want to address which will require you to put together a treatment plan, they may book in for regular skin maintenance or every so often for the relaxing experience. Whatever their goals are, this course will demonstrate how to cater to their needs and offer an experience that sets you apart.

You can reach out at any time for guidance or learning support.
On your practical day (book your date above) you will complete a facial treatment on three models from start to finish, including setting up your work space, consultation, skin analysis, treatment and aftercare.
You will:
Gain a good understanding of the structure and function of the skin layers.
Learn to identify common skin types and recognise basic skin conditions such as acne, rosacea, and pigmentation.
Develop effective communication skills to conduct client consultations, identify individual skincare needs and set realistic goals.
Familiarise yourself with products, their functions, and ingredients commonly used in cleansers, toners, moisturisers, and sunscreens.
Understand the fundamentals of skin analysis, including visual and tactile assessment, to determine skin conditions and formulate appropriate treatment plans.
Learn introductory facial massage techniques to enhance blood circulation, relax facial muscles, and improve overall skin health.
Gain proficiency in applying topical products for different skin types and concerns.
Understand the purpose and technique of exfoliation, steaming, and develop basic skills in performing safe and gentle extractions.
Learn and adhere to proper hygiene and sanitation practices to maintain a clean and safe treatment environment.
Understand and implement safety precautions to ensure client comfort and well-being during facial treatments.
Develop the ability to educate clients on basic skincare principles, including the importance of a consistent homecare routine.
Apply theoretical knowledge through practical, hands-on experience in performing facials on models.
You will be fully supported by your trainer throughout to build your confidence and answer any questions you have.
Once assessed you will be issued your CPD Accredited Beauty Therapists (ABT) accredited certificate to display proudly in your treatment room.

To enrol in the Bedew Comprehensive Facialist Course a good understanding of the english language is essential with completion of secondary education (GCSE level). No prior industry experience is required. Level 3 In anatomy and physiology is recommended but not essential.
