LED light therapy works by sending specific wavelengths of light into your skin, triggering different responses depending on the depth:
💙 Blue light: Fights acne by killing acne-causing bacteria and reducing inflammation.
❤️ Red light: Boosts collagen, speeds up skin healing, and reduces redness.
💜 Near-infrared light: Penetrates even deeper to calm irritation, improve circulation, and accelerate skin repair.
LED is gentle but effective and supports your skin’s natural healing and rejuvenation process, especially when paired with the right products.
My LED Routine (And Why It Works So Well With Bedew Skin)
Step 1: Cleanse - The Almond Oil Cleanser
Starting with a clean base is non-negotiable. The Almond Oil Cleanser ensures your skin is deeply cleansed without being stripped—so your skin barrier stays happy and LED can do its thing. This works because oil cleansers effectively remove impurities while leaving behind nourishing fatty acids that support skin repair and hydration—perfect for prepping your skin for LED.
Step 2: Hydrate - The Hyaluronic Hydrator
Now that your skin is clean, it’s time to drench it in hydration. The Hyaluronic Hydrator is packed with blueberry stem cells and hyaluronic acid, both of which are powerhouses when it comes to protecting, plumping, and strengthening the skin barrier.
- Blueberry stem cells = antioxidant protection, reducing oxidative stress and supporting skin regeneration (a perfect match for LED therapy).
- Hyaluronic acid = deep hydration, ensuring your skin gets all the benefits.
Step 3: Treatment - The Night Serum
Here’s where the magic happens. The Night Serum is loaded with dermapeptides, niacinamide, and vitamin A, all of which work beautifully with LED light to amplify results.
-
Dermapeptides – These boost collagen production and strengthen the skin, making them the perfect match for red and infrared LED light, which also targets collagen synthesis.
-
Niacinamide – Known for calming redness, reducing inflammation, and balancing oil production. When paired with blue LED light, it helps combat breakouts and soothe irritation.
- Vitamin A - Vitamin A (aka retinol) works by increasing cell turnover, meaning it helps shed dead skin cells and reveal fresh, new ones underneath. When paired with red and near-infrared LED light it can boost collagen production and speed up skin healing.
Step 4: LED Light Therapy - 20 Minutes Minimum
Now it’s time to pop on your LED mask. Whether you’re targeting breakouts, fine lines, or overall skin health, LED enhances everything you just applied, helping those active ingredients penetrate deeper and work harder.
Step 5: Lock It In – Moisturiser
After LED therapy, your skin is more receptive than ever—so sealing in all the goodness is key. Applying The Moisturiser helps reinforce your skin barrier and prevent trans epidermal water loss, ensuring all that hydration and treatment stays locked in.
If you’ve got an LED mask at home, try pairing it with your Bedew Skin routine—you’ll feel the difference! And if you don’t have an LED mask yet it may be a nice addition to your selfcare routine!
